  • Career Central Mobile One Stop Schedule



     
     
     
    Meet the Mobile One Stop

    Career Central  has added a new level of service to the region. The Mobile Unit is a self-contained resource room on wheels with twelve computer stations; satellite Internet and telecommunications; printing, copying, and fax capacity; and total mobility.

    Employers can use the Mobile Unit to anchor employee on-site recruitment efforts, job fairs, testing and training.

    Job Seeking customers can search for work, create and print resumes, access local and statewide job listings, and receive referrals to and information about the programs of Career Central.

  • Do You Need a Job? Job Training? Computer Training?



    Pasco County Library System and Career Central are teaming up to assist you with opportunities for job searching, job training, or even basic computer training. Laptops will be available for people to learn how to use computers and apply for jobs. The Career Central One-Stop Mobile will be also be parked at the recreation center to assist people with job searching, and job training opportunities.

    We have laptop computers available for you to file for unemployment, search for a job, and create a resume.
    You can make an appointment with a librarian who will help you navigate forms and applications. Call your local branch and ask for the egovernment librarian or schedule an appointment using this form.

    Pasco County's One Stop Employment Center- Career Central has a mobile unit where job seekers can search for work, create and print resumes, access local and statewide job listings, and more.   • American Recovery and Reinvestment Act aka "The Stimulus Package"




    Relief funds from the Stimulus package are beginning to appear in Pasco County!

    Career Central (Workforce Florida One Stop Center for Pasco and Hernando Counties) report that they have received funding to expand their hours, provide jobs for young people, as well as other programs.

    United Way of Pasco County received funding for local food pantries and shelters. Organizations that received help include: Elderly Nutrition (Meals on Wheels & Dining Centers), Volunteer Way Food Bank, Daystar, Suncoast Harvest, and others.

  • "We Know Where the Jobs Are" Workshops





    Career Central and Pasco County Library System are partnering to present, "We Know Where the Jobs Are," a series of workshops to identify employment opportunities. Career Central will be introducing a variety of services available to job seekers. The library's E-government librarian will be demonstrating employment websites and providing tips on using resume-writing tools. Following the workshop, the library will provide laptop computers to assist with conducting job searches, applying for jobs online, and creating resumes. These workshops will be presented at various dates and times at libraries throughout Pasco County.

    Career Central is a one stop center for Pasco and Hernando county residents seeking a job or changing careers. They will help you in your job search, provide training, and teach you interviewing techniques. Their website Career Central is loaded with tools and information.
