  • Do You Need a Job? Job Training? Computer Training?



    Pasco County Library System and Career Central are teaming up to assist you with opportunities for job searching, job training, or even basic computer training. Laptops will be available for people to learn how to use computers and apply for jobs. The Career Central One-Stop Mobile will be also be parked at the recreation center to assist people with job searching, and job training opportunities.

    WHEN: Saturday August 14th, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

    WHERE: Shady Hills Park Recreation Center, 15840 Greenglen Lane, Spring Hill, FL

    DIRECTIONS:

    Coming from the south:
    From Rt 52, head north on Shady Hills Rd. Continue for 4.2 miles. Turn left onto Greenglen Lane. The address number is 15840 Greenglen Lane.

    Coming from the north:
    From County Line Road at Mariner Blvd (Hernando/Pasco border), head south on Shady Hills Rd. Continue 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Greenglen Lane. The address number is 15840 Greenglen Lane.

  • You and Connections... Finding a Job

    Connections Job Development Corporation is a non-profit agency in Pasco County that will help you search for a job and provide other employment services such as:
    A Job Club
    Career Counseling Advice
    Computer Training
    Resume and Application Assistance
    Networking/communication skills
    Job Referrals
    Professional interview clothing


    Getting started with Connections is easy! You can attend an orientation (Job Club) at the Connections office every Monday at 1:15pm or Wednesday at 9:45am. 

    Learn more about Connections and how to find a job at the South Holiday Library on March 24th at 6pm or at the Regency Park Library on April 29th at 6pm.

  • Hands-On Jobs Workshops @ the Pasco Libraries


    The Pasco County Library will be offering hands-on job searching workshops for job seekers. Each participant will have an opportunity to find job listings online, fill-in online applications, and prepare online resumes using the Employ Florida website. One-on-one assistance will be provided. Space is limited and registration is requested. Call your local Pasco County Library to register.

    Pasco County Library System has laptops available in all library branches for you to: search for jobs, apply for unemployment, and file online government forms. Just let a staff member at the information desk know you need to use one of the e-government laptops.

    We're here to help you! The Pasco County Library is here to help you cope in these tough economic times.

    Laid Off?
    We have laptop computers available for you to file for unemployment, search for a job, and create a resume.
    You can make an appointment with a librarian who will help you navigate forms and applications. Call your local branch and ask for the egovernment librarian or schedule an appointment using this form.

    Pasco County's One Stop Employment Center- Career Central has a mobile unit where job seekers can search for work, create and print resumes, access local and statewide job listings, and more. The mobile unit is available at various locations throughout the Pasco County including the library. Click here to see when the mobile one stop will be near you!

    In addition to online resources, the library also has book resources to help you cope with these challenging times. Check out our library catalog. Search for books on how to: write a resume, develop your networking skills, use the Internet to find employment and more.
